With Walmart Fulfillment Automation Services Unlock Your Marketplace Success
How Does It Work?
Before you can start shipping items to WFS Fulfillment centers, you must be in good standing and live in Marketplace. Once you’re approved to onboard the WFS program, you will set up your WFS account by e-signing the WFS contract, and then setup or convert your products to Fulfilled by Walmart listings in Seller Center. Next, you will send your inventory to a Walmart fulfillment center, where we will store your products, prepare them for shipping when an order is placed, deliver your items, support your customer inquiries, and process any returns.
Frequently Asked Questions

How is the Walmart Fulfillment Automation Services program different from other competitors in the industry?Keeping in step with Walmart history and values, we are working hard to build a convenient, transparent, and easy to use eCommerce fulfillment program that third-party sellers and brands can trust, and allows them to have control over their business. Walmart is a pioneer in transforming retail into an omni-channel experience, offering third-party partners the ability to leverage Walmart 1P capabilities to reach new shoppers wherever they are or how they want to shop. The WFS program is designed to offer sellers a fast, low-cost fulfillment service to grow their businesses and reach new customers. Sellers also get access to Walmart omni-channel capabilities such as our Free & Easy Returns program – a competitive advantage that no other 3PL service can offer.  As a valued partner, our teams and tools are available to help you make the best decisions in item selection, brand offerings, and inventory forecasting, as well as phone or email support.
-
Do I have to be a current Marketplace seller to enroll in WFS?Interested sellers who are not part of Walmart Marketplace can submit a Walmart Fulfillment Automation Services interest form. The form will be reviewed. If you are approved, you must have completed the full Walmart Marketplace application, been approved, and live in Marketplace to participate and onboard with WFS. Even if you are considering only fulfilling your items through WFS, you must have completed the Marketplace application and be live to onboard and ship your items to WFS fulfillment centers.

What does the ideal assortment look like?We recommend that our WFS sellers bring their best-selling items to Walmart.com. Premium brands or items not listed on Walmart.com today are preferred. Refer to the Product Requirements listed above for specific item information. Our best practices indicate that GMV growth is best achieved by setting up a minimum of 50 SKUs and keeping inventory continually replenished.
-
What types of items are not a good fit for WFS in 2024?Participating items should be priced competitively to win the Buy Box and perform well on WFS. Products that have multiple offers on Walmart.com may not be a good fit for the program in 2024. We also do not recommend including products that have poor item page content as those listings may not convert well.
